  • What times do you form up as a group?
CAG-51 has regular training night on Thursdays at 9:00 PM Eastern and a weekly mission night on Saturday at 9:00 PM Eastern. We also have a non-mandatory gathering on Tuesdays at 9:00 Eastern where you can fly whatever you want in custom crafted campaigns.
  • What modules do I need?
At a minimum you will need the aircraft you choose to fly. Also required are the Supercarrier along with the Persian Gulf, Syria, and South Atlantic map, and WWII Assets Pack.
  • Do I need a HOTAS and head tracking device?
While it is not necessary to have a specific kind of HOTAS and head tracking, we highly recommend them, along with rudder pedals. Due to the fast paced environment, you may find your abilities limited without them. For head tracking our members use both Track IR type devices and VR with great success.
  • What skill level do I need to be?
We ask that you are comfortable flying your chosen airframe at a minimum. Being able to employ the aircrafts weapons, as well as being able to air-to-air refuel and land on the carrier are all plusses, but we can get you up to speed if you need work there. We have a dedicated training squadron. The VFA-106 Gladiators will get pilots out to the fleet, FARPS, and Air Bases in minimal time. Practicing offline will greatly enhance your results. Currently offering training for the F/A-18, F-16, F-14, and AH-64 Apache.
